Résumé : | This paper presents a comprehensive and integrated perspective of the innovation networks of eleven established Business-to-Business (B2B) SMEs in the manufacturing sector in Australia and summarizes how networking creates competitive advantage, to provide a basis for framing interventions to promote such networks, and is part of a larger study. B2B firms that have been in business from 18 to 47 years are the focus of this paper.Using qualitative analysis of in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs through QSR N6, and the Conway and Steward (1998) conventions for graphical expression of innovation networks, the network maps are graphed through Microsoft- Visio, the diversity and primacy of actors, and the intensity, formality, origin and direction of relationships described, and key competitive advantages summarized.| |
